Russ is a freshman in Security & Risk Analysis and an extremely active member in the SRA Club. He had the highest attendance to Club events this spring, was the winner of Assassins, and contributed to the CyberCEIGE table, War Driving activity, and Counter-Terrorism Panel project groups. He was also elected to the executive board as our new Intelligence Director for the 2008-2008 academic year. As part of the award, Russ will receive a $50 gift certificate.

In a world where script kiddies and more advanced hackers are evolving it is essential to enable encryption on your wireless network. Many businesses and individuals do not know how to enable encryption on their wireless networks, leaving them vulnerable to attacks. In many cases people are turning on WEP encryption and thinking its sufficient. Another thing a lot of computer users can be guilty of is using the default password that Linksys uses which is "admin." If you are using WEP encryption on your network you should consider upgrading to WPA.
